Create backups of your data step by step
You only realize the importance of backups when you really need one – but haven't done it. So before disaster strikes your computer, you better be ready!
EMC Retrospect Express HD helps you create backup copies in a very easy way. The program works as a wizard that walks you through the whole process, step by step. You'll be able to select the type of backup, set the schedule for automatic backups and select the folders and files you want to include in the backup. EMC Retrospect Express HD supports incremental backups, which means that only new or modified files are copied over – so there's no need to do a full backup every single time.
Once you've configured EMC Retrospect Express HD for the first time, you'll be able to do a first backup – which may take a while. This also creates a first system restoration point, a basic element to recover your system in case of disaster.
EMC Retrospect Express HD does what it says on the tin. It's also one of the easiest backup tools I've ever tried. On the downside, this ease of use is probably the reason why the program lacks some advanced options that you find in other backup tools, such as more complex filters to select data or more scheduling options.
EMC Retrospect Express HD is a simple, step-by-step backup system that will enable you to recover your data if disaster strikes.

I love Retrospect only for price and customer support..
Retrospect only serves well because f customer support. But Acronis True Image is MUCH MUCH better, although at 50 bucks is a bit too pricey. But Acronis is much more stable, reliable and packed with extras. If Retrospect matched Acronis at a much lower price I'd buy it every year for the rest of my life. More

No good.
It will create backups with no problems leading you in to a comfort zone. However when you need to restore something you will realise it cant recognise the previously created restore points. Offered solutions are a rebuild : takes days with no success OR try the trial software , which is leading you to purchase costly software to replace the bundled pacgake
Cons:
Express HD is a con job , leading you to more costly software. have a look at the user forum under roxio retrospect More

Retrospect Express is extremely user unfriendly.
Ever since I acquired this product, which came bundled with my Iomega StorCenter ix2, it has never yet successfully completed a back-up. There is always an error message, which ends click here for more information, but when you do, no more information appears. I have been able to find a file I needed to restore, but only with great difficulty, as the Search function does not work. I have no confidence in this product at all! More

Run away - this is a terrible product!.
I have had nothing but trouble with this product. I have tried to get support and failed miserably. It has never yet completed a backup - always there is some excuse (i.e. an error message), but I have never been able to find out how to resolve the problems. The software came as a bundle with the iomega StorCenter ix2-200.Seriously, don't buy it. It is supposed to perform backups of my critical data; it is useless! More
